Flatford Mill C1816 Constable

Flatford Mill was a forerunner for many of Constables six-foot scenes based along the River Stour. It was such scenes that would eventually establish the artists name in England and France and because of this Flatford Mill was not thought to be a painting of any great value when it was first presented in 1817.
